Erin returned his smile as she gripped the coat. Its warmth was appreciated, and his formal tone surprised her. Just how many ranks did werewolf packs have?
“I must say, I am happy to meet the wolf who could finally tame the beast,” Peregrin added with a wink.
Erin felt her face warm as Alexander’s arms came around her and pulled her close. She leaned against his solid presence as he gave the Delta a half-hearted growl to mind his manners. Peregrin merely smiled.
“Why exactly are you back so soon?” Nathan asked. “You had a mission.”
“I finished.”
“Finished?” Kaison repeated. “Really?”
