Alexander stepped forward to survey the ten who would be given the most important assignment of their lives and the pack’s future. After a moment, he said, “Warriors, it pleases me to see so many of you devoted enough to endure what I am sure has been a grueling selection process, especially after the recent attack we suffered. None of you wavered, which speaks volumes to your dedication to duty.”
The gathered warriors seemed to stand up a little straighter as he praised them. It was true that they had demonstrated their dedication as well as their valor by completing the trials and arriving at this moment to stand before him.
