“Alex?” Nathan looked up as the alpha entered the office.
“You seem surprised,” he grunted, moving to his desk.
“I just thought—how’s Erin?”
“Resting,” Alexander sighed. “She’s getting tired of staying in bed, though, so she’s putting around the house. I asked her and mom to stay inside for now. I don’t want her going overboard while she is building her strength.”
Nathan nodded. He knew the information Erin shared with them had struck Alexander harder than he let on. Not only was it shocking she could perform such healing miracles, but that it could very well shorten her lifespan. It had taken him so long to find her, and now he worried their time together was shorter because of it.
