I sat on a couch next to Mara, as everyone in the club staff room looked at us in shock.
Mara shifted uncomfortably closer to me and linked her hand to mine in order to calm down.
I didn't think it would shock everyone that much bringing her at my workplace. All I wanted was for her to meet everyone who played a major role in my life.
"I'm sorry for not welcoming you nicely, it's just that it's shocking to know that Peter came here with you instead of asking us to meet you at a nice restaurant or cafe." Prudence said then moved closer and extended her hand with a smile.
