“Aaaahhhhhh…” Ariel screamed for her life; so paralyzed was she in her fear that she had forgotten she had a weapon in her hands. How could she be so foolish to venture so close to the enemy? "Hey, easy chick, I was just trying to help.” The scratchy baritone voice of the man cut her off. He sounded like he didn’t get enough water to drink, and the thought frightened her.
