Dawn found Grier curled up in Nick’s arms, snow falling all around them in light fluffy flakes. She was warm though, the heavy blankets covering them with the exception of her face. Her head was tucked under Nick’s bicep, and he was curled all around her. He was throwing heat like a fully stoked furnace.
She wasn’t sure what it was which caused her to wake up but as she lay in his arms, she couldn’t stop the smile on her lips.
“Morning beautiful,” he whispered into her hair.
“Good morning.”
“Though,” he adjusted his arm, so she was snuggled closer to him, tucked into his shoulder, “I think it’s late in the morning.”
She looked around and noted the sun was quite high up in the sky. “Wow. We really slept, huh.”
