Sawyer didn’t have time to think of a decent response to Elizabeth before Jonas and Francesca arrived, and it meant that her comment was left hanging uncomfortably. She went to make more drinks as he answered the door, and he wished that he could just tell the others to come back later because it felt like they had just interrupted an important conversation even though it might not really have led anywhere.
