I didn't trust that guy Baron, but since he was willing to help with my plan, I decided to tolerate him.
For now.
But even though he was supposed to be my ally, my heart pounded with worry, my instincts screaming that trusting this man was a mistake. But we had a shared goal. And that is to kill Alpha Aldric and end his tyranny.
"Listen," Baron said, his voice smooth and casual as we talked about our plan for the Starlight Ball. "When Destiny distracts Alpha Aldric and takes him away from the crowd, we will attack him."
