Alpha Aldric's amber eyes locked in mine. "Did you know about this?" He said in a low and menacing voice.
I swallowed hard, unable to speak. I knew I couldn't lie to him, so I just shook my head to answer his question.
Aria and Nathan stepped forward, their chains still rattling in their hands. "We know you killed Emily," they said in unison, their voices strong and unyielding.
Alpha Aldric's expression hardened. "And how exactly did you come to this conclusion?" he hissed.
"I found your precious family crest near her body. How else would it get there, Alpha?" Nathan snarled.
Alpha Aldric's eyes narrowed as he contemplated the accusation. After a moment of silence, he said, "Fine then. If you insist on believing that I killed Emily, then let us settle this with a fight."
