A few nights later after I came home from one of my runs, Mina called me to her office. My heart did a backflip and a shiver went down my spine. Had she found out about what I was really doing on my night runs? In all honesty I had learned so much about the light dwellers that I could say I was doing it for insider information. I put on a cold stone face and headed to her office.
Her red rimmed eyes were shinning bright like I had not seen before. Was she mad? Her pale skin always uneased me, she looked like a corpse. She was always just so pale. Her long red nails tapped the top of her desk. Her hair was neatly pulled up and she wore a tight black dress with red pumps. Was she going out?
