PRESENT DAY
I returned to the real world as I scrubbed away the last of the tension from my body under the hot water.
Steam surrounded me and I quickly turned off the shower and stepped out to cover myself with a towel. I had lost track of time and the steam around me was too thick to see anything.
With a sigh, I opened the door slightly and left it ajar. "Don't come in! I'm still getting ready," I called out to the guards who didn't even respond as I worked as quickly as I could.
I wouldn't put it past them to shove the door open and drag me out of here naked, just for the show of it.
