[EVIE] The ocean is quiet tonight. The waves lap gently against the shore, making it seem like time has slowed down. The air is cooler now that the sun is sinking beyond the horizon, bleeding colors into the sky like a fading watercolor painting. I take off my shoes and step onto the cold sand, letting it shift beneath my feet. I don’t know why I came here, not really. Maybe because I needed space, needed the silence.
