Third person point of view:-
"Dad, you can't just barge in at the Leone mansion like this and return in one piece or alive. We have to think carefully before we do anything. We have already lost so much because of the enmity between Leone and Petrov. Haven't you lost your beloved twin brother because of your anger, and now you want to lose your daughter too?" Ivan shouted at his father, who was planning to go on a suicide mission to get himself killed.
"That f*****g bastard took my baby girl from me and you expect me to sit quietly and do nothing?" Don Nikolai angrily yelled, "I am Don Nikolai, and I don't take orders from anyone."
"Dad, with due respect, we can't just go in there without a strong back. We need Dominic's help for this. Only he can help us." Ivan tried to reason with his father while his wife Tatiana sat on the couch, comforting his mother Alexa.
Nikolai’s eyes burned with rage, and his jaw ticked, but after a long beat, he exhaled sharply through his nose. "Fine," he growled. "Let’s see if the Blackstone dog still remembers who taught him how to hold a gun and how much he owes the Petrovs."
The ride to the Blackstone estate was gut still and angry thick. Ivan sat with his father watching the fury rack Nikolai’s clenched jaw and lifted posture. It wasn’t anger, I didn’t feel anger, it was heartbreak, a father who was robbed of his daughter during daylight.
The Blackstone mansion loomed ahead, built with modern steel and stone as if it were a fortress. They didn’t need to be announced. The guards immediately recognized the Petrovs, and tension crackled in the air, but they stepped aside. Dominic sat like a devil on his arm chair with evil smirk on his face as he spoke.
“Don Nikolai, I didn't think you would have the guts to come here after getting publicly humiliated by the Leones.” Dominic slowly whirled the whiskey in his glass. “If you're here, then there must be a strong reason. Are you here to return my stolen bride?”
Nikolai’s nostrils flared. “Stolen bride?” he spat. “You mean my daughter, the one you were about to marry and let go of without a fight. What type of loser Don are you?"
Dominic’s smirk widened. “Please. In the name of an alliance, you sold her off like property. I was accepting delivery.”
There, Ivan stepped in, cold, but with a calm voice. “We came here for help, Dominic.” Eliseo Leone interrupted your wedding and then kidnapped Cassandra in front of the whole world. You should be furious — he made you look weak and humiliated you.”
Dominic cracked a dry laugh and shook his head. "Furious? No. Relieved is more like it."
Nikolai narrowed his eyes. "What the hell is wrong with you, Dominic? We're still in pact. Cassandra is still your fiancée."
‘Did you actually think that I’d still marry your pregnant daughter?’ Dominic took a sip of his drink before responding. The one carrying Leone’s heir? Do I look so desperate to you?"
"That’s a lie!" Nikolai barked. "He’s playing you to split her away, to break every tie we have got."
Ivan stepped forward, jaw clenched. "We know Eliseo. He lies. There’s no way—”
Dominic sneered, then interrupted, saying, "I saw those pictures myself on his phone. She wasn’t exactly resisting, and I know, trust me. She slept with him. So please spare me the family drama. She made her choice."
Dominic stepped over closer, his voice low and cruel, before Nikolai could even speak, his fists trembling. “Don Nikolai, your daughter is not the victim here. She’s a slut who slept with the wrong man. Now she’s someone Eliseo's problem and I am not a fool to go after the strongest Leone family to save your w***e of a daughter."
Nikolai charged forward and shouted, "You bastard —", but Ivan held him back.
Dominic signaled to the guards with a cold and arrogant expression. "Kick these men out of my house. I don't want to see their faces ever again," he began to leave, but stopped to give them one more news. "By the way, you all are invited to my wedding with Sofia Rivera this weekend. I have decided to allign with Spanish mafia, whose daughter holds dignity and reputation, not like your slut of a duaghter who can't keep her legs closed."
Like trash, Nikolai and Ivan were escorted out by the guards without hesitation. With the finality of everything behind them, the doors slammed shut.
Standing motionless outside, his eyes were burning with unshed rage.
"She was left by him," he whispered. “Because of a lie. He didn't trust her. He didn't help us. f**k! I can't believe I chose a man like him for my only daughter in the greed of alliance and more power than Leones.'
"Dad, what are we going to do now?" Ivan asked, "We can't leave Cassandra in Leone's den. God knows what they will be doing to her. I am worried for her."
Nikolai’s fists were clenched so tightly the veins in his arms stood out, as he stared at the massive iron gates of the Blackstone estate. "To hell with the son of a b***h thinking that I am going to leave my daughter in the hands of a Leone. I am going to bring my daughter back by any means possible."
The weight of Dominic’s betrayal and the shame of being thrown out like beggars still raw in his chest, Ivan watched as his father spoke in silence as we walked towards our limo. However, what really hurt was how casually Dominic had maligned Cassandra, as if she weren’t worth anything.
His voice was low and rough with emotion, and Nikolai turned sharply. “I will go alone if I must. If I have to walk into Leone territory barehanded, so be it. “I brought her into this world. I won’t let her rot in that bastard’s prison.”
“Dad—”
"No, Dad. If we have to go to war with Leone, then be it. But, Cassandra is coming back home."
