Chapter No. 11

1134 Words
Cassandra Petrova:- "Remember our deal, Cassandra. If he accepts you, you don't walk out of that mansion, but if he refuses, I will be waiting right here in the limo waiting to take you back with me just like we agreed." Eliseo reminded me, before one of his men opened the door to his limo for me, and I stepped out. I took a deep breath and stared at the Blackstone mansion, my heart pounding inside me. I don't know what was waiting for me in there, but Dominic was my only hope. My family will never accept me back in the mafia now that they know that I slept with Eliseo, the biggest enemy of Petrovs for centuries. I have to do this. I have to convince Dominic to take me back. I have to come clean and tell him that I am not pregnant or in any affair with Eliseo. If he believes me, then he will marry me, Petrov mafia's ties will be strong again with the American Mafia. It is going to be a win-win, and the restoration of my damaged reputation. "I am here to see Don Dominic," I announced to Dominic's men when I entered the mansion. The men in the mansion knew me and took me to Dominic's study, where he stopped dead in his tracks to see me standing in his study alive and in one piece. But what made me halt was the presence of Spanish Mafia Princess Diara De La Cruz, daughter of Spanish Don Enrique De La Cruz, sitting on his lap, making out with Dominic. "Cassandra? What are you doing over here?" Dominic asked, looking at me with a disgusted facial expression. "Are you done spreading your slutty legs for Don Leone after humiliating me and your family in the public?" "Dominic, please. I need your help. I have been framed. I didn't do anything." I pleaded, "Please, I like you. I never betrayed you. I had a one-night stand two months ago, when we weren't even engaged. I thought he was a stranger until the next morning, when I found out he was none other than Eliseo Leone. I ran away from him the moment I found out. I didn't cheat on you, or violate or breach the contract between the two families. I sincerely want to marry you." "Shut up, you whore." he growled. "Get the hell out of my property. Return to Eliseo and ask him to keep his trash to himself because I ain't taking you back. I will make you and your family for making me look like a fool in front of the underworld." "You can't do that, Dominic. You signed a contract. A treaty. You need an alliance with the Russian mafia, you can't do that." "You don't have to worry about what I want and what I don't, and besides, it's all taken care of. Instead of allying with Russian mafia, and getting married to the w***e like you, I have decided to join hands with Spanish mafia. Meet my fiancée, Diara De La Cruz. We are getting married in the next two days. You and your family aren't invited so get the f**k out of here and go crawl back in your w***e hole." He insulted me, and I stood there, holding back my tears. Cursing at myself for believing Dominic could be the man for me, but I was wrong. He is nothing but a power-hungry, greedy snake, and here I was thinking of marrying and spending my whole life with him in the hope of falling in love with him. I looked around as I took a step close to his desk, picked up his pen, and stabbed him in the thigh, making him scream, and before he could call his guards or react, I knocked him and Diara out with the vase by breaking it on their heads and stepped out like a cold assassin I was. "Your boss asked not to be disturbed in there as he is busy f*****g that b***h!" I spat, shutting the door behind, acting calm as if I didn't just knock their boss out. Footsteps behind me were hard and sharp, just as I bridged the gap between me and the mansion's front doors. It was one of Dominic's men who had dared to enter the study despite my warning. When he had seen his boss slumped unconscious behind the desk, Diara sprawled beside him, also out cold, a stunned gasp tore from his throat. "She knocked out the boss!" he screamed. "Kill her!" But I was faster. The guard nearest to me made the mistake of blindly reaching for a weapon, not considering the distance. I slammed my elbow into his jaw once and nearly knocked him over. I grabbed his gun and dagger and returned to the other men. "I don’t want to kill you any of you, but if any of you dare, I will make sure you all have your funeral tomorrow." I threatened coldly. "Don't you know who I am?" Another lunged at me and I dropped him with a swift strike of the hilt to the back of his neck. One was stupid enough to raise his gun, I kicked it out and bashed his dome into the wall. I didn’t kill them, I just knocked them all unconscious, groaning, too injured to follow. The hallway was a mess, but I didn’t stop moving forward. Through the front doors, I slipped past like a shadow out into the night, where Eliseo's limo was parked, surrounded by the SUVs. Eliseo was leaning against the sleek black limo, standing there exactly where he said he would be, with the faintest smirk curling his lips. I looked over his shoulder, his gaze encompassed me—messy hair, bloodstains on my clothes, a stolen dagger still gripped in my hand. His eyes turned to mine and arched a brow. "I assume Dominic said no?" I let out a humorless laugh. "You think? You f*****g knew this was going to happen. Didn't you?" He laughed softly and inclined his head. "So, how many did you manage to kill, my little devil?" "None. Let's just say, I left all of them... sleeping. I felt merciful today, because I don't want blood on my hands, except for yours." I murmured darkly, and he laughed, shaking his head, amused. He smirched an ear to ear while opening the limo door. "You really know how to make an exit, Cassandra Petrova. Now... your decision?" I rolled my eyes and took it past him. "You win, Eliseo. Take me with you. The deal stands." Satisfied with a thud as he closed the door behind me, he slid in next to me. He whispered, "Welcome to hell, mia diavolessa."
