Chapter 4

Cooper

I feel someone nudge my arm.

"I think the humans drank the werewine," Henry tells me. He points at Rae's cousin that he was just dancing with, who is now making out with some other chick. He shrugs and grabs the bottle.

"This is the best night of my life," he shouts and goes and gets in between them, chugging the bottle.

I shake my head and laugh.

It really is the best night. I honestly didn't expect it to turn out like this, but this is exactly where I want to be.

If Rae and her friends drank the werewine, then this must be why Rae has been grinding all on me. Basically dry f*ck1ng me. I do not mind it at all. I love that she is leaving her scent on me and me on her. Her scent is unique. Just for me.

I want everyone to know that we belong to each other.

My wolf and I are both salivating. "Mate is so soft and smells so good. Her a$$ is perfect. No, everything about her is perfect," he tells me.

She turns around and pulls me down for a kiss, then she pulls away and just stares at me.

She smiles and gets closer again.

"Stay with me tonight Coop," Rae whispers in my ear.

Every part of me is screaming yes, but that damn curfew.

Do I even care about the academy anymore? I'm basically done.

I tap Henry.

"You're on gate duty in the morning, right?" I ask him.

"I am," he says.

"You think you can get me back inside in the morning?"

I know I am pushing it, but I also know he works the main gates, and he has helped others, and others have helped him sneak in and out.

I have heard all kinds of crazy stories about his adventures.

He has really been living life to the fullest.

However, this is my first time truly living in so many years.

I f*cking feel alive now.

Like I got my spark back.

Like I just got my missing piece back.

At the end of the day, though, his answer doesn't even matter, because I know that I am leaving here with Rae no matter what.

If he can't help me, I will make my cousin figure out a way.

"You know I got you. Just be at the gate by 6 am. You know how strict they are about the closure. 6 am Cooper, not a minute after or the doors will lock, and you won't be allowed inside and all your hard work goes to sh!t." he tells me.

I look at Rae, and suddenly nothing else matters. Even if I didn't make it to the gate at 6 am, I wouldn't care anymore. I'm not going to miss line up though.

"Thanks bro. I will be there, and I owe you big time. You know I never ask for favors, so whatever you want, it's yours. Good looking out bro," I say, and shake his hand.

"Let's get out of here," I tell Rae, who turns around and puts her hot mouth on me again. My hands travel down to her a$$. Her perfect a$$. I can no longer wait. I need my mate and I need her now.

Rae

"Thank you all for watching our live stream. I have a headache, and I am going home, but camera man and my cousins will keep you all entertained," I say goodbye to my live stream and tell my group that I am leaving to have a little chat with Cooper.

"Yeah, a little chat," Vivienne says as she snorts and laughs.

"Make sure you chat with him real good. All night long, if you know what I mean," Paris says.

"We will make sure not to go to your room in the villa,"

"Are you sure about this Rae?" London asks.

I nod and give them all a hug and I grab Cooper's hand and head towards the front door.

I have no idea what got into me, but I somehow convinced Cooper to go back to the villa with me.

Am I crazy? Yes. Do I blame the alcohol? Yes. Do I care? Nope. I do not care.

The way he keeps kissing me has my mind so foggy.

I can't even think.

I just love the way his big, warm hands feel on my skin.

It's as if his touch burns me, but it burns me so good.

I want more.

I need more.

Why does everything about him feel so good and normal?

It has to be the alcohol making me feel these things.

We get outside and he grabs my face.

"You are so beautiful, and so damn s3xy Rae.

I'm so f*cking sorry.

Forgive me.

Please.

I'm sorry for leaving you.

I will never forgive myself for it Rae, but I hope you can forgive me.

Just know that I have thought about you every day since I left.

I'm so f*cking sorry," he blurts this all out, but I don't even want to think about that today.

I don't want to feel like that abandoned girl.

I don't want him to feel sorry.

We had an agreement, and it is what it is.

What happened, happened.

We can't change the past.

Tonight I am just doing what feels right.

I am a single woman, just exploring her options.

I am living my best life.

Plus, maybe this will help me get him out of my system and move on.

As they say, you only live once.

Plus, I can also tell him about our son, so I get my fix while I get fixed.

I pull him down and give him a soft kiss, because right now I can't use my words and his lips on me are the only thing that feels right.

"Cooper," I hear a woman yell.

We both turn and see that girl from the restroom. She looks angry as she stomps over to us.

"We are leaving Cooper," she says.

"You all can go on without me," he tells her and pulls me so we can keep walking.

"No Cooper, you are coming with us. We all have a curfew. You can't miss it for this wh0re," she says.

"Wh0re?" I question.

"Well, why are you with him alone in the dark infont of a bar?" she asks me. She folds her arms and smirks.

I can punch her right now, or I can punch her right f*cking now.

Ugh, I just don't want to look crazy.

"Why don't you mind the business that pays you," I tell her instead.

My therapist is going to be so proud.

"Ruby, seriously go inside and mind your business. I will make it back for curfew," he tells her.

"Are you two a thing?" I ask confused.

I point from him to her and back.

He did say he doesn't have a girlfriend, but this chick is just too insistent on getting his attention.

She smiles, but he shuts it down immediately and her face falls.

"No, she is just a member of my cousin's pack," Cooper says.

"He turns back to her. "Go inside Ruby. You will get lost out here all alone," he tells her.

"Cooper, you are making a mistake. You are going to regret doing this," she shouts.

Her cold, dark eyes turn to me.

"You f*cking b!tch. You are going to get him kicked out of the academy, and everything he has accomplished will be for nothing," she shouts and begins running towards me.

Cooper stands in front of me, he grabs her and picks her up and moves her away from me.

"Go inside Ruby.

You are embarrassing yourself.

I am going to assume you have had too much to drink.

You have no idea what you are talking about, and I expect you to apologize to Rae, or you and I are going to have problems," he tells her.

"I heave heard that humans carry diseases. You will get infected," she tells him instead, and I begin laughing.

She is nuts.

"Girl, Cooper is a grown man and knows exactly what he is doing. He doesn't need you babysitting him," I tell her.

"Cooper," she says again.

She uses a sort of threatening tone.

"Are you coming with me, or staying with her?" I ask him.

"I am coming with you," he tells me, and he pulls me to him.

"Coooperrrrrr," she shouts, but he swoops me up, and he asks me which way to go. I point straight down the beach, and he takes off running. I can't lie and say I didn't get any satisfaction from that interaction and leaving her behind. That girl is a b***h, and she clearly likes Cooper, so it felt good that he put her in her place.
