I loop my arm through dad's. Papa and my uncles surprise us by coming out of nowhere, "Rae-Rae. Now is your time, you can still get out of here. We got your back if you want to run away," Papa says. I chuckle, but shake my head. They all give me a hug before they head to their seats.
I hear the music start playing. "Are you really sure about this?" dad asks me one last time as we stand before everyone. My eyes connect with Coopers and I can't leave, even if he was late, and I'm upset. "I'm sure," I say.
