Cooper
I knock on the door and Cali opens it. "Cooper," she smiles brightly. "Rae fell asleep watching the movie, but come in," she tells me. "James asked me to bring this up for her," I say. She smiles and nods. "Rae, wake up. Cooper is here to see you," Cali is so gentle with Rae. I set the tray down on her table and get on my knees next to her head. "Hey," I say as soon as her pretty little eyes open. "Coop. What are you doing here?" she asks me. She sits up a little more and looks around. "I will leave you two alone. Call me if you need me," Cali says and steps out, giving us privacy.
She wraps her arms around me and pulls me in for a hug. I feel her whole body relax. "What's wrong? Why did you block me out again?" I ask her first. "Oh, I'm sorry. I was so nervous at my appointment.
