Waking Up

Madison's POV

"Come on, punch him hard." I yell at a fifteen years old boy who is practicing combat.

"Ashley, don't let her see your weak spot." I order showing a perfect move to the said girl to take down the enemy.

I look around the arena which is attached to the indoor gym. Only the teenagers are practicing today as they have a day off today from school. As the head warrior of the pack, I must train them well because in the future they are going to keep the pack safe.

"Okay now stop and go do 100 laps," I say aloud making all of them groan but a glare from me is enough to show them who is in charge.

It's been two days since Dylan's mate has been put in a coma and the guy is completely devastated. Although I have heard or seen a lot of mate bond s**t but seeing my friend in distress is not sitting well with me. This has given me another reason to hate the word 'mate'.

Alpha Nolan is also trying to find about the unnamed shewolf but till now, we don't have any information regarding her. There are only two packs left in America where we need to contact but it's not so easy. One of the packs is our rival and the other one is the most powerful pack in the worlds.

I am talking about Mystic Forest Pack which is the second powerful pack in the world and also our rival because we don't agree with their tactics. However, I am not worried about them. I am worried about the Blue Moon Pack because their reputation in the werewolf community is similar to any of the Royal Pack. We used to have a Royal Pack too but I have heard that they were murdered by a team of rogues who didn't like the rules that had been set by the Royals.

I already have a bad experience with Alpha Alessandro who is the alpha of the Blue Moon Pack, I really don't want to deal with him again if by any chance the injured shewolf turn out to be his pack member.

"Madison, Dylan's mate is awake." Luna Pearl mind links me.

"I am on my way." I answer in the mind link.

"I have sifted her in room number 10 so come here." She informs and cut off the mind link.

"Okay, that's enough for today. Go take some rest and meet me here in the evening at sharp 5 PM." I order the teenagers and run out of there to go to the hospital.

Upon arriving in the hospital room where Dylan's mate is staying and notice that Dylan's parents, Nolan along with Pearl are already here.

"Ariel, here is our head warrior whom I was talking about." Luna Pearl says to the dark-haired beauty who gives me a huge smile.

"It's so nice to meet you in person." Ariel remarks in a soft tone. Not only she is beautiful, it seems she is also a soft-spoken person too.

"How are you feeling now?" I ask.

"I am feeling a little dizzy but Pearl has told me that some days of rest will cure it easily." She replies and faces Dylan who is sitting beside her.

"Can I contact my family? I don't know why but I am not able to mind link them." She lets out.

"Of course, you can. Actually, Nolan was trying to find your family." Dylan replies looking at Nolan who nods his head in return.

"Dylan is correct. You should contact them and let them know that you are alright." Nolan says.

"Here take my phone." Dylan says and gives his phone to Ariel who thanks him and dial a number on the phone.

"It's me, brother." Ariel tells the person over the phone.

"Yeah, I am okay. But promise me you won't freak out when I tell you where I am at this moment." I frown at the way she is talking on the phone. Why the hell she is sounding so scared as if her brother will punish her?

"I am with my mate." She replies timidly.

"No, no I didn't run away from home." She yells out in fear.

"Red Crescent Pack." She says before handing the phone to Dylan who takes it with an uncertain expression.

"Umm, my brother is coming here in a few hours." I raise my eyebrow at her words.

"Okay, but may I know from which pack you are from?" Nolan asks.

"Blue Moon Pack." She answers looking very scared.

"Holy cow!" Pearl says aloud making us look at her like she has lost her mind.

"Whoa don't look at me like that. We all know how dangerous the Blue Moon Pack is so just think what if Ariel's brother is in a high position. He can ask the alpha and beta to come here with him to declare war on us." She defends herself but she has a point though.

"I will call Alpha Alessandro and talk to him about this matter. I think he will understand that we haven't done anything wrong." Nolan says.

"You don't need to call Alessandro." Ariel remarks.

"But why's that?" Pearl asks.

"Because my brother is none other than the alpha himself." Ariel replies giving us a sheepish smile.

"You are saying that the Alpha Alessandro is your brother." Dylan comments standing up from the bed.

"Yes." Ariel answers shrugging her shoulders.

"We are doomed." I say aloud before walking out of the room.

Suddenly, my phone starts ringing so I look at the caller ID to see that it is Amanda who is calling me. I sigh in relief because I can tell her about Ariel being here.

"Hi, bestie!" I squeal so that she doesn't notice the tension in my voice.

"Don't bestie me. Why didn't you tell me that Ariel is there? You know Alpha Alessandro is so angry that he wants to declare war on Red Crescent Pack." Amanda replies making me scowl.

"He should be thankful that his sister is in good hands. But no, he has to show his attitude over everything." I remark glaring at nothing particular.

"I know and that's why Merrick has gone to talk to him." She says.

"By the way, I have good news for you. Although it should be Dylan who needs to tell you but you know I can't keep any secret from you. So, the good news is that Ariel is Dylan's mate." I let out while there is a complete silence on the other side of the phone before a loud scream nearly burst my eardrums.

"ARE YOU SERIOUS, MADI?" She asks or should I say scream.

"For God's sake, stop screaming Amanda. I am only 19 and here you are trying to make me deaf." I remark rolling my eyes at her.

"Oh shut up, you are not going to be deaf. By the way, when are you going to come here to meet me?" She asks and I can imagine the pout on her face.

"I am not sure because I have to go to Morocco for a modeling assignment soon. So, I need to get the models prepared for that. But don't worry, I will try to come to meet you as soon as I can." I answer although it's not fake. But the real reason for me not going to that pack is Alpha Alessandro. I don't want to see his face ever again.

"Okay, I understand. But I am really missing you. You know, this pack may be the number one pack in the world but they lack a lot of things which I find very disturbing." She says making me curious.

"What are you exactly talking about?" I ask.

"I can't tell you everything but there is one thing that will shock you for sure. In this pack, the shewolves are not allowed to participate in war. Actually, no shewolf is forced to train if she doesn't want. I mean, I understand that many shewolves don't feel comfortable with training but it's an important lessons of life as werewolves. Because danger can arrive in any form so I think every shewolves should know how to protect themselves." She answers sounding upset and I can understand why.

In the Red Crescent Pack, everyone of us is bound to train after coming at a certain age. Because just as Amanda said, problems can occur at any moment of life. But after hearing her saying that Blue Moon Pack doesn't work like that way, I really itching to go there and give the idiots a piece of mind.

"Let them do whatever they want but please you don't stop your training. I hope Merrick doesn't have any problem with it?" I let out because if he does, then I need to have a private talk with him.

"No, no, he is very supportive of my training with others. Actually, the other day he was saying that the Blue Moon Pack needs a strong-minded Luna who will be able to change the way this pack work by putting Alpha Alessandro on his place." She replies making me smirk but then a frown set on my face when I remember that the asshole Alessandro has rejected me.

"Umm, Amanda I will call you later. I have to take a shower because I just finished training in the gym." I let out.

"Oh, okay. Then talk to you later and please try to come soon." She says before hanging up the call.

"I think Merrick isn't wrong." Ava, my wolf says through the mind link.

"Now, you don't start again. He has rejected me so I don't see the point of talking about that matter again." I remark walking up to the stairs to my bedroom.

"But you haven't accepted the rejection." She says making me stop walking.

"What do you mean?" I ask.

"When he rejected us, you didn't reply saying that you accepted his rejection. That means that he is still our mates." She replies with a smirk.

"Oh, s**t! I need to accept the rejection asap." I let out.

"No, you should not." She says making me confused.

"And why is that?" I ask.

"I think it's high time you show that arrogant alpha that a shewolf is not only meant for birthing pups or taking care of the house. A shewolf can lead a pack as well as a male wolf. Also, he questioned your position as the head warrior, so why don't you go to the Blue Moon Pack to visit Amanda and stay there for some days to observe the situation?" She replies.
