“Why did you want to talk to me, Leon?” Maraño asked as he looked up from his papers.
Leon stood straight with both hands clasped tightly in front of him. He had thought about this for days. Now, he was sure.
“I have something to say, Leader,” Leon said. Maraño nodded.
“Go on. What is it?” he asked. Leon took a deep breath.
“I want to go with Kieran and Celestia,” he said clearly. Maraño raised his brows.
“I heard they will continue their journey soon,” Leon added. “They saved our people. They risked their lives for Vlada. I want to help them. I want to repay them. And I believe I can be useful,” he added.
Maraño leaned back in his chair, thinking quietly. But before he could speak, another voice came from the side.
“Then bring me with you.”
Both men turned their heads quickly.
