"What happened to her?" Leon asked, pointing to Athisa as she walked away with quick, upset steps.
"I told her not to get involved with Alpha Kieran," Dwayne replied, tying the last knot on the trap. Leon nodded slowly, understanding what Dwayne meant.
"You’re not going with her?" Dwayne asked as he brushed dirt over the trap, hiding it with dried leaves. He then placed a small mark on a nearby rock so he could find it later.
"Yeah, I’ll go," Leon said, his tone quiet but sure. Dwayne gave a short nod and stood up, watching as Leon started walking in the same direction Athisa went.
Leon soon found Athisa not too far from the camp. She was muttering under her breath, kicking a small rock as she walked.
"Athisa," Leon called gently.
She stopped and turned to him with a frown.
"What?"
