What the actual hell?
Why is he asking me this like it's a perfectly reasonable thing to ask another human being?
My head jerks up, and my eyes finally lock onto his.
He’s watching me with that same intense stare, dead serious.
There's no hint of mockery on his face. Just genuine, maddening curiosity.
"What —" I choke on the word. "What kind of question is that?"
"Are you a virgin?" he repeats slowly, as if I’m failing to understand something obvious.
"No." I blink at him, completely thrown. "No, I’m not."
"Then?" He drags the word out, tilting his head slightly, waiting for the rest like he already knows there is one.
