Fallen
Fallen’s hand grew clammy in Kelani’s grip. She wanted to pull away from him, but she started it. And she couldn't very well let go of him because Triam was right there behind them. She could feel his heated eyes on her back, as if he could tell that she wanted to pull away from Kelani. Her spiteful moment was coming back to haunt her. She gritted her teeth and held on to his hand. She would rather die than let go and give him something to laugh about.
They walked down the hallway, heading to the library. He was surprised that his uncle was still sitting in the library. She thought he would have gone to bed or something. Her fathers had joined him now. Fallen walked to them, and they wrapped their arms around her.
