I choose him, Fallen thought as she leaned into Kelani. He felt so warm and loving. And he was soothing the ache she’d felt after the way Triam had treated her. She needed this, Fallen thought, as she felt amazing inside. He pulled away and stared at her.
“Do you want to go for a walk?” he asked, taking her hand. Fallen nodded and they walked out her room, down the hallway and out of the house. They made their way into the forest, clearly avoiding the spot where Triam had dragged her to. Fallen glanced at it feeling all kinds of emotions, but the one that won was hate. She really hated Triam. He was a mean, arrogant asshole that thought the world revolved around him.
