Lily
After hearing Franco say he doesn't want a religious wedding with me, I go up to my room. The charm of the walk through the garden is lost. And to avoid getting upset in front of him, I prefer to retreat to my room to dwell on my sadness.
I decide to call my friend Caro. She doesn't know everything that's happening. So I pick up my phone and call her.
"Hi Lily! Are you home?" She asks before I can say anything.
"Yes, I'm home. Are you coming?" I ask, as I think her intention is to visit me.
"Yes, I'm nearby. I'll be there in ten minutes." We say goodbye and hang up. I flop onto the bed and look at the ceiling.
Am I doing the right thing? There's still time to back out.
I close my eyes and remember our magical night. An involuntary smile appears on my face as the delightful mom
