We're heading to Diana's house. I was surprised to arrive at the apartment and find Franco all set to leave. That tells me he arrived early. Could it be that he's feeling down because I'm ignoring him? I look out the window and sigh. Love is such a mess!
"How'd your day go?" Franco asks me. I don't know if he's just making conversation or if he's genuinely interested.
"Well... it was just the usual," I reply without giving him any specifics. I know he doesn't like my answer because he makes a strange face. I can see it reflected in the window.
"I felt strange not talking to you all day. It seems I've gotten used to seeing you," he says, and I turn to look at him. He blushes. I don't think he meant to say that.
