Calista POV
After an hour of sleep, I made myself some ginger tea and, thankfully, it made me feel a lot better. I was grateful to my mom for packing me some of her tea. I have chamomile, peppermint, lemongrass, and ginger tea.
I have cooked myself a plate of fluffy scrambled eggs and made a couple of French toast. Even when I missed breakfast, my tummy seemed not keen on eating so much.
As I sat at the dining area, I turned on my brand new top-of-the-line laptop, care of the generous Mr. and Mrs. Astor. I know! Aaron’s family was surely spoiling me!
“It’s a present of all sorts, Calista dear. It’s a thank-you present. A welcome-back-to-school present. And—” Sherie was thinking of something else to add. “—we-will-miss-you present.” She chuckled as she and Allan handed me the box.
