I woke up the following day, slightly disturbed, thinking about the woman’s voice that I heard last night. As much as I try to ignore it, the voice still echoed in my mind.
Is Aaron cheating on me?
I tried calling Aaron’s phone again but no one answered.
I hope he’s not f*****g anyone else.
Thinking about it was making me anxious. So what I did, I got a quick shower and went down for breakfast.
“Waffles!” I squealed in glee. “I haven’t had waffles in such a long time!” Then there was scrambled eggs and bacon.
Mom and Dad looked at me like I was an alien. I was filling my plate with so much food. And in a few minutes, I was getting my second serving.
“Calista dear, it looks like you are not eating well? Are you depriving yourself of food? You do look a little pale.” D
