Calista POV
I was momentarily frozen until I realized that Aaron had left. Springing into action, I tried to catch up with him and explain myself. He was no longer in the hallway, so I had to wait for an elevator to come up.
Arriving in the basement, I saw that I was too late. His car was no longer in the designated car park.
I went back to our apartment and tried to call him. But, of course, he wouldn’t answer. I sent him a few messages instead.
“Baby. Please let me explain. Calm down first. Call me when you get home.”
“Please drive safely.”
“Call me, okay?”
“Let me know when you stopped by somewhere. I will call you.”
