Alpha Gabriel’s POV
I open my eyes and stare up to the sky above. Beautiful shades of pink and orange streak across a backdrop of midnight blue. Millions of tiny stars flicker and twinkle more brightly than I’ve ever saw them before.
I sit up slowly, looking around in confusion. I’m sitting in the middle of a forest, but it’s like nothing I’ve ever seen before. Everything is eerily silent, covered in a purple haze that drifts around in the breeze. I can see the leaves blowing in the wind but there is not a single sound to be heard. Not a single person or animal in sight.
“Hello?” I feel call out, hauling myself up to my feet. “Hello?”
Silence is my response.
I look around carefully but I don’t recognise the terrain.
