She just gave up. Being held by him actually felt nice and even though she also felt betrayed by him, she still appreciated his presence. Maybe they couldn’t be together, but he could still be her friend. He’s like everyone’s friend anyway.
She wept for another half hour before getting drained. He helped her into his car and she decidedly laid on the backseat. He looked at her helplessly.
“What happened to your car?” Tyler asked without closing the door.
Jamie could only shake her head, unwilling to speak about her problems and issues.
