The next morning, they did go out to buy items from the market.
“Can we walk around for a bit?” Ella asked. It’s been a while since she went out. She realized she missed the sunlight on her skin. She purposely walked where the sunlight shone.
“Sure.” Dave readily agreed. After putting away their purchases, he took her hand, but he let her drag him where she wants.
Ella found a sunny spot on the sidewalk and stood there for a while. She tilted her head and basked in the sun. Since it’s still early in the morning, the warmth is quite pleasant. Dave was amused.
“When’s the last time you did this?” He reached out to caress the top of her head.
“I don’t remember. Maybe three weeks ago?” She kept her eyes closed and maintained her satisfied smile.
