Elyssa was bent on staying and helping her kingdom fight. Her mother tried in every possible way to make her change her mind but she stood strong on her decision.
They settled her in an empty chamber so she could rest after her long journey. The chamber with its high ceiling and luxurious furnishings was one of the best in the settlement, conducive and comfortable enough for one to want to stay there forever.
However, Elyssa’s mother’s restless spirit seemed out of place within the conducive confines of the chamber. She was fidgeting and occasionally pacing back and forth to the large window of the chamber, looking out to the dense forest for signs of anything unusual. She was certain her kingdom will storm the settlement at any moment.
