Jace POV
This had not happened to me before when I was torn between decisions. Rosie had a point, a strong one at that. She wanted to become at peace. She was not ignoring her past, but only wanted to be at peace with the one who hurt her.
However, my insecurities were coming out, which was new to me. Rosie and I talked about my concerns a few nights ago and I thought that was it. I felt better when she told me I was her priority and no one else.
It was already nearing midnight when I went inside the house, together with Baron. I checked again all the locks and made sure Baron was on his bed before I went upstairs to Rosie’s bedroom. The light was still on and I could hear the tapping on a keyboard.
