Rose POV
Dexter had been apologizing for the next few minutes but I had been ignoring him. If not for Darren, I would have left and went home by myself, with Baron in tow. He was offering to get me food or drink, but he did not get any answer from me. At last, a quarter before we had to pick-up Darren, he had given up. I was lucky that the visit was only an hour and I would be free from them. However, when we picked-up Darren, he requested to go to the arcade.
“Dad, can we go to the arcade? Please? Please? Pretty please?” he asked repeatedly and that got me annoyed internally.
Dexter peeked at me before answering his son. “Maybe tomorrow?”
“Tomorrow? But Grandpa and I will be taking me to the golf club. We will be up early tomorrow. I’m not sure what time we will come back.”
