“Can you repeat that, baby? I thought I heard you said Nix talked to you.” I set down my fork, giving up on eating for the second. I knew I was groggy and tired, so maybe I misheard my Melody.
“Nix needs us to kill Dominic.” She repeated it again, more slowly and watching me as she said it. I could see she was searching my face to see if I believed her.
