Melody’s POV
I arrived at the house before Teddy, so I went inside to prepare the salad, using some fresh spring greens and romain lettuce. I shaved some carrots and diced onion and tomatoes, finishing it all off with a sprinkle of garlic. I then went to the fridge to see what types of dressings I had left.
There wasn’t much of anything, so I grabbed my raspberry preserves. I got out some peanut oil and vinegar from the cabinet as well as a glass measuring cup. I scooped out a tablespoon of raspberry preserves and did equal parts oil and vinegar, mixing them together, making a simple raspberry vinaigrette.
I went to the back yard after that to start up the grill to get it hot, pausing at the back door though, sensing something was off. I hadn’t been in the yard since Sunday; sure I had
