Jim’s POV I drove down town in Melody’s suv, which I was grateful that she had let me borrow. We had closed early, due to not having any other workers for the day. Heather was a no-show, which did not surprise me in the least; and Melody had yet to find any replacements yet to hire. I had been the first one Melody had hired to work there, slaving away every morning until she had me properly trained to fill my role in the bakery: It was at that time that I had become infatuated with her.
