Melody’s POV
I was nervous to say the least, but at least Teddy was there to lean on. His warm arm wrapped around me and supported me as we made our way down the steps to the ballroom. Only a few waiters and staff were left in the grand foyer, all of the party goers having filed in to begin the show. I could hear soft music playing for a small orchestra.
“Miss Bells, this way please.” A waiter called them over to a pair of doors right behind the staircase, the large double doors were closed and I could hear the music stop as someone began to speak. It sounded like it was Alvin, which I wouldn’t be surprised, especially if he was here representing the European council.
