“The council approved everything and the request went through to Black Haven, now we wait.” My father stared at me, waiting for something from me.
“Thank you.” I said at last, making the old man puff up his chest.
“See, you still have a lot to learn about politics.” He scrolled through his computers, typing away.
“You bribed four of them, and the others we were just lucky they sided with the request.” I rolled my eyes.
“That’s how politics work! Everyone can be bought at a price, and I’m pretty sure at least two or more are being paid under the table by Black Haven.” My father gritted out. “Now, go do rounds with Beta Daniel, I want our borders locked down tight.” My father dismissed me without another word.
