“Well, then; let’s get to it now, shall we?” The doctor came into the room all the way, closing it behind him. “Do you want the good news or the bad news?”
“Start with bad?” I stated it as a question, not knowing really which would be worse.
“Your white cell count is high, suspected cold more than likely. I suggest rest with plenty of fluids, especially since your immune system is compromised right now.”
“Compromised from the cold, right?” Teddy asked, a slight frown on his face.
So I’m not pregnant… just sick. My heart fell a little, I was actually looking forward to having a baby with Teddy.
