Guy pressed stop on the laptop, the recording having ended a second ago. “That’s all we were able to get before they found the bug.” I rubbed the side of my face, the scar there giving me a headache. “We can try to get another in somehow, but it may take time.”
“No need. They basically know nothing.” I thought to what Melody could have possibly seen or heard when she was here, but we were careful with what was said in front of her. “Get on the phone again with our contact in Phoenix Paw and see if they can figure out what the Alpha knows when they return.
