“Melody!” Teddy wrapped me in his arms, holding me tightly like I would vanish into the wind. I couldn’t help but cry, I had missed him through everything. “Shhh, my love. It’s okay, I have you. He held me tighter, letting sobs turn into quiet tears. When I finally stopped, he tilted my face up by my chin with his hand; staring deep into my eyes. “I’m never letting you go again.”
He kissed me with passion, his lips melding to mine in a sweet dance of love. The taste of him was like fresh made buttercream and vanilla; his scent of tobacco and spiced whiskey heady to my senses. “I missed you.” I sighed as he drew away, kissing the lingering tears from my face.
