Amaris’ POV
“Are you feeling better?”
I looked at Dani and smiled at her. She just came back from somewhere. She walked towards me with sad eyes and I couldn’t figure out why.
I held her hand, “Are you okay?”
She chuckled and shook her head, “I’m not.”
“Is there something wrong? You can talk to me, Dani.”
She sobbed and instead of answering, she grabbed me and threw herself in my chest. She silently cried in my arms which made my heart sink and break. Her cries were so painful to hear. I couldn’t bear to listen to it. I feel like it’s destroying me and yet I couldn’t do anything but hug her to at least make her feel better.
