“Are you ready?” said the Doctor. Andy was now lying on the hospital bed. She then rolled her sweater and sheepishly smiled at Mikaela, who was standing next to her.
The Doctor then squeezed the gel. Andy gasped at its coldness. The Doctor then probed the transducer stick, gently spreading and moving all over her tummy. They all looked at the screen. Andy’s eyes welled up upon seeing the sepia jellybean looked-like figure on the monitor.
“Okay, Ms. Andrea, this is your little one,” the Doctor said, pointing to the blob-like thing “Perfect size, you are actually right. You’re on your 11th week and five days.” She added, smiling.
Mikaela smiled widely; she had only seen it in movies. The check-ups and everything. Her eyes then averted to Andrea, who was now inaudibly weeping
