I walked out the room feeling quite the opposite as compared to when I first went in. Earlier, I was confident that I wanted to end any ties to my family and move on with my new life as Tiana Winters.
But. seeing my father showing nothing but love to me, I was moved by it. He showed me a side that I have loved and respect before. Also, it felt as if he understood me better than before.
I was not sure what changed him. Did Erique, my grandfather do something to make my father changed his mind? Something seemed not right.
Whatever it was, I loved the new version of my father who listened to me and tried to fix our relationship. It was all that I wished for to happen in the past.
