Summer
When we reached home Erica and Lily both were waiting for us and bombarded us with questions as soon as we entered. Gabriel excused himself and strode in the direction of his study. I didn’t have to look into his eyes or his face to know that he was closing off from me. And I could guess the reason. The visit to the doctor had left us in the grey area, I don’t know what the results of those tests would be. And I was sure the prospect of something happening to me had put him in the defensive mode. Once again he was trying to detach himself so it wouldn’t hurt him if something was really wrong with me.
