Chapter Twenty: New Year's Eve

ADALET... Days had passed since I had talked to William alone, since our almost kiss. I blushed every time I thought about it. There was something inside me that pushed me to him like a moth to the light. I sighed, I really needed to get over William, I knew that I would only get hurt if I kept going down that road. At the Christmas concert, everyone had been there and I had received a lot of flowers that were now on the living room kitchen table. They looked very lovely. I had never been a flower person but I enjoyed seeing them and smelling them, I believed they had a deeper meaning. After the Christmas concert I spent most of my time with my parents. The last time we had seen each other was the year before and it had been only a short visit so I planned on making it up for lost time.
