Immerline focused on her meditation to reel in the power that was trying to come out of her. It’s like she’s visualizing her power as a huge whale and she is restraining that whale using nets made up of kelp.
The whale that represented her power was struggling to get out of its binding, but she enforced those bindings with another layer of net, tying it tightly around the whale until it calmed down.
Then memories of the underwater garden came back to her. It was the dream she was in when she was unconscious for a long time. It was when she was with her father and remembering that made Immerline have the power to be stronger to contain the power in her.
As her power finally settled down, Immerline opened her eyes and turned towards her mother.
‘I want to be free, mother,’ she spoke.
