Jaden’s POV
Jaxon wasn’t playing with them, and it hurt to see my mother so upset at Morgan for getting what she deserved for supporting or standing by me. Jaxon had warned me last night to prepare for this. I’d honestly thought that my parents would finally be willing to step back and allow Morgan to be punished. Like she should have been over the years, I was wrong.
“Jaxon, could they pull the second gate back for me to speak to my parents? I want to say this face to face,” I asked.
Jaxon nodded to the guards at the gate, and we watched the warriors hit the button to allow the second gate to retract. The third obstacle was left in place. It sent a message that even if they rammed the gate, they still wouldn’t be able to gain access to the pack.
