Jaden’s POV
I smirked at Mallory, who was hovering above us, as I slid the ring on Melina’s finger. I wanted to drive the knife in deeper as I turned to look at my mother, as I held Melina’s hand. I wanted to share the good news with them.
“Soon enough, Mom, you will be hearing the steps of my son running around when we come to visit,” I said with pride. I turned back and leaned forward to kiss Melina. I was proud of our baby. I hope Melina will allow me to claim him.
I was happy to hear a squeal of excitement as my mother practically bounced in her seat. She was thrilled, and so was my father. The baby wasn’t officially mine yet. But I'll take full responsibility for him if Melina allows it. Hearing my sister and Mallory shrieking about it made me even happier.
